I have acquired a 360 from a 1978 RV and the valve cover sticker says 360-3. What does that mean? any clarity on this is appreciated.

The "-3" is what is called an "arrangement number". It denotes differences in timing, carburetion, and head porting. The "-3" engine was also used in police vehicles, ambulances & medium-duty truck chassis'

Hope this helps

Thanks poppasmurf! The engine also has AAQA stamped on the block. I have heard this has to do with more Nickel content to help strengthen the block. Thanks again!
