Yea I've seen it used elsewhere.,I'm sure others have done the doors also. Does the dynamat have a sticky back? And isn't kinda expensive?

Yes to both. It's very sticky, and is a butyl rubber sheet with aluminum backing. Some people say to use the similar looking stuff from hardware stores in the roofing section, but often they're asphalt based and not rated for high heat locations.

Oh, and the plates did take most warping out but I may have to tap on one of them a little to make it perfect.
Yes & yes. BTW if you decide to remove it it's a bearcat!
If you had a tractor inner tube and didn't mind the work, that'd make great sound deadener. And take some of the tinny sound out.

This has nothing to do with my car, unless I sell it to help the car fund,. but I wanted to show this to some friends that I've told about it., and some here may get a kick out of also. A REALLY COOL DUDE gave this to me a few years ago. It is the biggest load of new(many still in the package)and like new fishing lures/gear that I've ever seen any one person collect. Everything you can imagine, except no rods, but there is a kit for making rods.,lol. There are over 300 crankbaits in the biggest tackle box made I think, 100s of spinners, boxes of jigs/parts, topwater lures, trout flies, tiny trout crankbaits, big saltwater lures, dozens of reels, fish scalers, weight scales, sink weights, bobbers, kits to make all kinds of lures, those cardboard boxes are full of plastic worms and there is way more I've probably forgot.

That's the stuff I used, worked great. I didn't do the doors however.

Haven't touched it in a couple of weeks. Been working at my job too much and not much energy left after that. But I did get an idea about something that I could do with my car in the future..
I hear ya, I've been putting in some overtime at work also. But been ordering parts and trying to plan ahead a little each night after work.

Got some goodies today. Hope to put them on tomorrow. Now I need to order a set of cat whiskers, some of the seals and whatever else for the door & quarter windows. I've been putting them off too long, time to get them done. I'm also going to have to order a new passenger door glass. It was busted out when I got the car.

These window felts/whiskers came today. Now if I can figure out how and where they go on. Does this felt u strip go in the forward window channel run the way I'm showing it in the 2nd pic? I've looked everywhere for info or pics of this felt and how it goes in that channel and can't find anything.

The felt strips with clips go on the door and quarter windows openings. The felt that goes in the rear vent frame channel does not come with these kits as far as I know. They are around $40 a piece and come with plastic inserts to keep the window locked with the frame.

Agreed. However, order the window run channel from and Dealership. They cost a little more but you won't buy them twice like I did... first set came from a rest parts supplier and did not work at all. Wrong profile, way too tight, and after a couple operations of the window they disintegrated. Order genuine mopar 2932230.

If you have any questions on the weatherstripping shoot me a PM, it's still pretty fresh in my head lol. I do know there's a difference in the weatherstrip adhesives to take into consideration, 3M makes different grades and one works way better. I'll see if I can find which one I used, sets fast and hasn't let go yet.

The felt strip that you have pictured goes in the top outside of the door (like threewood mentioned). Look at the matching receiving holes in the door to determine what door it goes on. The rear quarter whiskers will have a curve at the end to match the rear window curve.
Be careful tapping them in to not hit and break the window.
These are pictures from page 30 from my project.
I hope that helps some.
And on the quarter window interior felt, I believe they are stapled to the removable interior panel.
And a +1 to the Mopar vent window channel pieces. They are thin and fragile and the new plastic inserts can bind. Also a good idea to have 2 people when installing the door glass into the channel.
