62 Belvedere 318 poly granny cruiser (one day i hope)

Try PUI Interiors for catwhiskers. I just saw this suggestion on FABO.

Have a vibration around 50+ that keeps happening in neutral.. hoping it's just the back tires out of balance, gonna take them in tomorrow to get rebalanced.. i don't trust the place that did them the first time and et streets are supposedly horrible for balancing... front tires are new and were balanced

Are those radials or bias plies?

Got the tires balanced and my god... it's like 5" of weights on both sides of the rims in the same spot.. just insane.. shoulda took a pic... Hoping that fixes it... If not.. next will be the driveshaft.. Had the shaft made at a local place that's supposed to be really good.. for $600 i hope it's not the issue.

That sounds better. Just think, 1 oz. out of balance exerts a force of 8# on the heavy side of the tire. Oftentimes, breaking it down and spinning it 180° and rebalancing can help. I used to spin just the wheels up to see how bad they were. Often times 2+ oz. out of balance all by themselves.

yeah.. et streets are known to be bad, i have never seen this much weight on a tire.. it's like 1#... When i got the tires a friend did me a "Favor" and had a local speedshop mount them.. they put stick on weights half way around the inside of the rim... which makes no sense... and also fell off since they didn't clean the rim at all.. I prefer the press on weights.. will post a pic later..

If i still have the vibration i will put on the 14s i used to have on the front and see if it changes with those..

K.. Fuel pump changed.. no more weird engine noises, Alignment better, steering wheel is straight.. slight pull to the right but i think it's the crown in the road it's soo small..

Moved the trans a little to the passenger side which got a header tube off the torsion bar.. what a difference in comfort.. way less noise.

Tire balance seems to have helped a bit.. still a bit of vibration, going to check runout on the driveshaft when i get to it...

sooo.. a bit done tonight :)
