62 Belvedere 318 poly granny cruiser (one day i hope)

Winter is coming... itching to order parts for the new motor but gotta wait to figure what size and compression and all that it will be..

Haven't done anything in the last month.. just got home from work and changed my axle shims to drop the pinion 3*.. will see how it works next time i drive it..

Compression to shoot for should be dictated by your most plentiful pump premium. That way you have a comfort zone in case you can't get the really good stuff on your drives.

We have been talking about window channels lately. This looks like what we have been talking about. One of the guys on C bodys posted a screenshot from Speedway Motors. The backside of this looks a lot like what is left of the channel on the backside of my vent frame. I believe they have different sizes. One coil is for 1 door but I only need it in the front so 8' would do both doors. I may measure and give it a try.

so finally drove my car today for the first time in weeks.. i moved the pinioon down 3* and it seems to have made the vibration go away which is nice. BUT.. had amazing heat last time i drove it.. now nothing.. the warm level moved the arm on the valve at the heatercore (under the dash) but only 1 heater hose gets hot. other is ice cold..

I saw there looks to be a bi-metal spring and maybe a thermocoupler tube down there.. need to research how this setup works..

Kinda curious if i having the hoses reversed could be an issue? don't think i do though
