68 coronet hemi swap in Az

Got the tunnel cut out for the t56 and made a new one that’s a little wider and taller . Bent up a piece of 3/8 flat stock to add back in for the t bar cross member , curve came out pretty close

Got the tunnel pretty much knocked out and t56 magnum test fit on my 68 coronet hemi swap . ended up with bellhousing 2-3/8 off firewall so shifter would clear the tunnel brace I put in . Tunnel need a little persuading to snug up to the cross brace , no biggie since it will be covered . Next up will be trans mount and will order gerst suspension with motor mounts Un welded so I can place the motor

Got the trans mount done and yes it is angled , with the mount flat the bellhousing would be clocked wrong . I guess they normally have the mount flat so it angles the shifter towards the driver but in this case they didnt clock the bellhousing to match . Should have enough clearance from firewall with its position to run the 6.4 intake I have

Just about wrapped up with the t56 magnum install . Added some 1/4 bracing into the tunnel that I can use to tie in a driveshaft loop and made new brackets to mount the center console to . Waiting on motor and suspension but should be able to get the clutch and brake mc figured out

I like the build concept/style...

I'll continue to check back from time to time :popcorn2:

Got the pedal assembly figured out for the most part . Has to enlarge the hole on the firewall and the firewall brace for the hydroboost , add a tab on the brake pedal since the hydroboost pushrod was longer , make my own shoulder bolt since the pushrod had a larger diameter eyelet. Got the clutch mc firewall mount from Steve young , used a piece of 1/2 aluminum rod ,drilled and tapped it then set the ratio on clutch pedal I made to 6:1 . Just need to do the brake and clutch switch mounting then I can get brackets powder coated .
The only thing I’m not sure of is if my pedals are to high/ close , they are 6” from pedal to floor measuring at a 45

Going with hydro boost? I like it!

3rd member finally showed up last week and got the housing and brackets back from powder coat . Everything turned out good but the bolt pattern for 3rd got drilled up side down , luckily drilling the 3rd member case holes up a size let the 3rd mount up . Now just waiting on coilovers

waiting on coilovers and need to run the new brake line from the front . This axle was much heavier than the 8-3/4 good thing I’ll have the extra hp to move the car lol

I'm interested in putting hydroboost in my Coronet. What system did you use?

Borrowed a drag radial to test fit , pretty much dead on for fitment 305/45/17 . Wheel is for a 2013 dodge challenger , 1st pic is ride height 2nd is compressed

haven't updated this in in a while . shortly after these last pics i pulled the trunk pan out due to rust and installed a split pan , cleaned up the frame rails and painted the inside then used copper weld primer on the tops of the rails . got the trunk pan in .

Got the car moved to the garage , opened up the radiator support and installed core support brace . After that I test fit the engine and notched the firewall to have a little more clearance for the 6.4 actuator , wiper motor still clears

Pulled the motor back out and repaired the inner fender then decided I should make an air box so I’m not pulling in hot air thru the filter
