Got a 69 Charger just the other day and i'm very excited about getting it decoded. From the decoding I have done so far, I have discovered it had the premium loaded package, and the factory 383 Magnum performance engine. Where the question mark now lies is the last six of the VIN. From what I gathered, it should be all numbers. Mine starts out with a "Z" then five numbers. Is there a VIN guru who could shed some light and explain the last unknown?

I had to look more than once and thought the same as you at one point, but yes, it's a "Z" ?????

Oh my god!! Just looked at the original picture of the VIN and realized that they screwed up at the DMV!!!!! What now?:angryfire:

There have been actual reported cases where the VIN's were screwed up from the factory a digit or letter (usually on the first 5 though).

What is it that is screwed up from the DMV? Did they call the Z a 2? If so, if it's that simple, I'm sure that there is a remedy for that.
