Im restoring a 70 Superbee & am just curious. Ive seen a few 70Coronet/Superbee grilles with a RED line painted on them, while most Ive witnessed were just plain black. Is there any reason for the red striped ones?

Curious about this myself....Also the small panel that separates the bumpers (just below the bee emblem on the hood) is sometimes chrome and sometimes body color?

The redlines on the grilles are based on pre-production promo ads, which were published by Dodge. Afaik they never made it into production, but some people added them during restoration.

Note that the tail panel around the lights does have a red stripe on the Bee but a black stripe on Coronet 440 models.
