71 bbody airbox cleanup?

I have my original airbox for my N96 hood on my 71 Charger and it has some paint on it where it was sprayed black by someone else before I acquired it in 1994. My question is which product is safe to use to remove old paint to get ot original finish. The box is in great condition and im just gonna clear coat it if it cleans up properly. Thanks guys.

Not sure about the air box. I recently used acetone to remove old spray paint from a set of police wheels. It didn’t seem to affect the factory coating. Test a small spot for sure.
