Sat up from 10-1:30AM reading a Lee Child "Jack Reacher" book, Blue Moon. Couldn't put it down..
I also thought the movie wasn't all that great, im glad to see im not the only one who shares that opinion. How Much better is The Irishman? I thought the movie was horrid and I typically love mob flicks. I’d go for,the book if it’s a page turner - the movie was just poorly done. I know it’s up for an Oscar but I hated it. Usually really love a cast like they had but......
That's why it took me so long...lol.
Yeah, Reacher is always a good read. If your into benevolent alien intervention you might try Vera Nazarian's Atlantis Grail series. It's about Earth sitting smack in the path of a planet wrecking asteroid. The aliens, who are previously unknown to humans, make themselves known after attempting everything to divert the rock themselves. They are the descendants of Ancient Atlanteans of Earth. Here's the synopsis:loved the jack reacher series, and the movies too.
reread the Stand recently...no clue why
Lol, I've been reading for a long time, author sounds familiar, but that book price? Had to be in the '60's!View attachment 928984
found this photo of this paperback Book. Can't find any information. Looks like a good read.
i talked to him the nite before he ahhh..left.Anybody heard from Steve from S.I. His last post I believe was 2 weeks ago. Staten Island is in the danger zone with this virus.
And why are Tom Clancy books soooo blasted thick? You can't read non-stop. I know I told you about Lee Child!!!!Sat up from 10-1:30AM reading a Lee Child "Jack Reacher" book, Blue Moon. Couldn't put it down..
Right?! His books are so thick because he research's every damn little detail and includes it in the story, which I hate. So the plane drops a bomb. I don't need to know the Mil designation, the acronym, the yield of the thing. I just want to know if it hit the target and killed it. He goes on for paragraphs about this ****. Who the hell cares? Move the blasted story along for Gods sakes! The books that I find to be page turners are always those with a tight story that hits 6th gear right out of the gate, from a standing start, and gains speed right till the last page and has a twisted surprise for you when you arrive. You should set a just read book down on the table and suddenly realize it's 3 in the morning and you need to pee badly and haven't eaten anything or had a drink for the last 6 hours. THAT'S a good book. And why are Tom Clancy books soooo blasted thick? You can't read non-stop. I know I told you about Lee Child!!!!
I have probably read every one of his books at least twice or more times. I used to have all of them in the Leather Bound editions. Not a bad read among them. Can’t go wrong with Louis Lamour
