Colored headlights

Forgive me this is probably a dumb question. How do you color the headlights (thinking of Sox and Martin blue headlights) and I've also seen a yellowish color. See this mostly on the old nostalgia race cars.

I used Testers transparent model spray paint , cleaned them up with 0000 steel wool, wiped them off with laquer thinner, then put on light coats till i got the look I wanted.

I used a product from Krylon called stained glass paint

I bought some colored tint off the internet 8 or 9 years ago and applied to the high beams on my 69 roadrunner.
