Even know my car is absolutely filthy right now you can see the hood gaps in the Sun that took several weeks to get lined up like that
yep, thats the plan gonna have derrick cut it everything, take it home and start assembly of most everything this winter, take it back in spring to do finals on the outside and shoot it. that way if something doesnt look quite right we can take care of it. by the way thanks for the info on the fenders. been a long ride, it nice to get a little reassurance.

she's home, all cut in ready to assemble most of it. put it back on rotisserie to help installation of some of the parts underneath, and also gonna use it to lower car on to drive line. planning on getting most of back together this winter, taking it back in the spring to shoot the exterior, seems like the best option for me dont have to worry about damaging outside of car during assembly, and if something doesn't look quite right, it can be fixed easier. being that i dont do this kind of work everyday, it seemed to be my best option. Getting a few things tweeked out in the shop and should start blasting and powdercoating, and or painting, probably after the holidays. every part that goes back on is going to be reconditioned or replaced. heres a few pics.

Getting closer i see.....(i got 69 doors on mine too)
after closer inspection body work wasn't what I was looking for. I guess I could say it was a good start, but all the bitch paint work inside of the car is done. Son in law came over and helped tweaked out door jambs and some low spots, truck deck lid was high in the middle compared to rear quarters,fixed with a bottle jack and a couple of 2x4's, 
but the biggy is the front drivers fender. The middle body line drops down and ends up 5/8" below the door body line. the yellow tape shows where it should be on top and where it lands on the bottom, the remainder is nearly perfect on the rest of the car. My plans are to remove fender, remove inner fender brace which runs directly behind the droopy line.Then I guess find some ridgid metal plates, try to hold them where the bend needs to be, and begin to hammer the **** out of it with a(large) body hammer, without warping the rest of it

tweaked doors fenders, doors a little more, adjusted the body line on the drivers fender to match the center door line got it pretty close, alot to this, hats off to the guys that do this everyday, and couldn't do it without help from them. knew it took some time to get a nice straight car, It seems you think its close, and then find more looking a different angle or lighting. Lots of blocking to do but lines are really taking shape.

That's funny, charger charger charger charger charger then a urinal :laughing9: just wasn't expecting that. Great lookin car though, congrats.
alot better than behind the barn, how many guys got a pisser in there barn. $220 at menards. a blessing when the beers are going down. starting back on the charger tomorrow, working on it all next week. final paint should start within a month.
well two more weeks of block and sand made a big difference, I guess its reassembly time, Some have said to load the car with the drive line, saying it will change the body lines, some say there nuts, I have welded in car tool frame connectors, and welded in pretty much the whole *** end, car seems to be very stout, was gonna paint the car first so it can be buffed and cleaned before assembly ( on rotisserie would have made it alot easier) but don't want to have a bunch of f----ed up lines. I put a jack on the torsion bar cross member, and lifted it a little the door gap at the fender did open a little, so next this monday its time to bolt on some goodies still have some blasting and painting to do on parts that wont be replaced, will post some pics later on. Anyone have experience in body line movement with "loading" of the car, would be interesting to hear your input, thanks.
well I'm back in it again, been busy with work, getting a little done on it. trans is rebuilt rear end should be done in a week putting a 355 in the 8 3/4, going thru parts blasting and reconditioning what i can replacing the rest, bought a borgeson power steering conversion, looks good. blasting cabinet is awesome have been epoxy coating then 2 part chassis paint and then using a low luster clearcoat, looks good to me, and hopfully wont chip or scratch easy. assembling brake and gas lines, pedals etc. got a motorcycle lift at harbor freight to set my k member and drive train on getting ready for install. has wheels and jacks up to 33" and down to 6" off floor. have a few pics for now and planning on keeping progress going the rest of the summer trying to get the final paint on the exterior before the snow flies. will be posting more pics in the weeks to come. have next week off so hopefully should get some candy bolted on. And by the way i removed the car from the rotisserie and about two days later there was a slight change in the door to rear quarter reveal, not alot maybe 1/16 to 1/8"
will be interesting to see what happens when the drive train is installed. and yes will be experimenting with a gold color for duplicating cadium plating on lower control arms.pics are epoxy coating only on those.
