Yes, used that stuff for my brake lines. So easy to bend. I have the harder stuff I had used for fuel lines so I'm gonna reuse most of it but utilize rubber hose for the trickier bends and running to the carb. Sounds like I'll go with the bubble flares for those unions. I have an old style Rigid brand flare tool that works well. The modern import copies are junk. Cheap metal and lose tolerances.* if you make your own lines.. get nickle copper... OMFG..... i didn't listen and when i finally did it is soooo insanely easy to work with compared to steel...
That’s the standard thinking just before we justify the purchase with our wife.I don't know if I'm smart enough to operate that but I might still want one.
What is the difference to this Amazon choice one would you say? It's literally step #1 which sets how deep the tube is in the flare tool (then tighten the tube in place) Turn the turret to step #1 for the size tube, pull handle.. turn to step #2... pull handle.. Done.. it's sooo nice.

Point us to the bender would you?Amazon got me. Plus another $45 for some fancy tubing bender.
Yep, a little bubble flare would be perfect for mating to rubber hose with a clamp. For steel lines, a single flare would be ok. Brake line you buy pre flared will be double flare of course. If you are using bulk steel line, you could use either flare.
I like to use a bubble flare. With the low pressures involved it’s probably not critical but it does give me some peace of mind.
How do you bubble flare?
I have always made the bugle type single flare for fuel and double for brake lines. The bubble looks like it would be easier to slip rubber fuel line over it so I may look into that next. For the one in the pic i posted way up top which technically isn't a bubble flare.. i just use my flare tool and start the flare and stop when it just gets where i want instead of following through...
