Hello everyone,

I'm trying to figure out how to bench test the dash lights for my 67 GTX.
I've tested the gauges and they work fine.
I want to confirm that the dash lights work.
I've installed all new bulbs.
How do I do it?

Thanks!
Greg

1. Get the factory wiring diagram.
2. Obtain a source of 12VDC (I always just use the car battery, using small jumper wires).
3. You have a voltmeter with a setting to test continuity, yes?
The rest should be fairly self-explanatory.

I always test each bulb individually, once I know all the bulbs work I think follow the 2 sides of the bulbs and one side is 12V and the other is grd, apply 12V and they should come on.

Thanks for the help guys! Success!!
The circuit boards were very corroded. I cleaned them up with steel wool. I also replaced all the lamp "sockets" and bulbs. It worked out well.

My 73 had a red, yellow and orange pin out on the dash wiring harness I used to check all the lamps at reinstallation time. Does Gregs 67 have something like that or was that used on later models.....
