Couldn't believe how fast, simple, and easy this job went. Summit racing $110 tax and shipping. Chinesium, but good enough for the job. Will tackle my friends 73 mustang hinges next.

I bought the tool to see if it made the job easy. Now I will become a roving hinge swapper. Two friends now in line to use it.

Neat, I bet one of the cheap metal sawhorses padded and bolted to a jack would duplicate that set up well.

If I were a businessman maybe. I never charge my friends for wrenching or tool loaned. Lost quite a few tools, too. I can see this one going and never coming back someday.

I've used a chain fall before and that works good too but that looks like it would be better. As for lost tools.....started keeping a list of what's where but sometimes that didn't do any good either lol. Imo, real friends bring stuff back and not broken.

If you don’t want to spend the $100 for a one-time use tool, consider the home made version, lol. Screw some arms to a 2x6 and screw it to the jack saddle. Worked well enough to get me two doors back on.

The doors on my 66 Belvedere are pretty light these days....and was able to put them on without any help from anyone or lifting tools. The front fenders being off was a big help though as messing with a car with fenders on it is a rpita especially with stock heavy doors. E body doors are another matter especially if you're old! Hell, they were a pain when I was young and was much stronger!

I ordered it from Wallyworld the other day & I got an email saying it was out of stock & the transaction was cancelled.
