This was a Michigan car, I new it had rust as all 40+ year old cars do but I saw it in places I didn't know existed. Some of these pics you have seen in previous posts. 20141007_105019.jpg20141023_092046.jpg20140806_110612.jpg20150211_143556.jpg20150306_090557.jpg20150205_120622.jpg20150305_151922.jpg20150306_090717.jpg20150305_151909.jpg
First I removed the front end, rust had taken out both fenders and the hood, cleaned up the engine bay and installed the 440 and four speed, then changed the floor halves, then new quarter panels and new front end. Then rebuilt the rear axle, moved on to Borla 3 inch exhaust, painted the door jams and trunk (never do that again) I can still taste the paint. Recently got the wheels and red line tires. After breaking one windshield we'll have the pros do the next then we can get back to finishing the Torred (red) paint job. The car came with 69 charger seats so I stayed with that upholstery, the back seat is original, the buckets are recovered with a PUI Leather/vinyl kit. More to come after paint.

I think you will find that, In the beginning there was dirt. And God looked down upon the dirt and said, "let there be Plymouth", and it was good. And when god saw the pleasure he had given man he said, "let there be rain", so that man may keep his Plymouth clean. And so that man may know humility, I shall allow man to watch my creation return to the dirt."

SWEET! and it looks mean and ready to do some stomping on the competition! looks mean! Keep going, you are on the winning side of this old gal!

yup, good old Michigan rust belt example.

as a Michigan teen in the early 60's, I couldn't believe how quickly cars rusted out, even with thicker real steel.

I love the look of Mopars under construction :headbang:
