That trans mounting solid? Do the grey spacers allow some movement. A solid mount can break a case...
 
Hey guys, wanted to give a quick update. Car is running and ready to go. Going up to Emerald Coast Dragway this weekend... Will give some number's once I got them. Really looking to see what this thing will run... But until then!
 
Hey guys, everything went great at the track except for 3rd rd, I started having issues with accelerating past 2000 rpm, 60 foot and 1/8 mile time showed it, both off about 3 hundreths from the runs prior. Off the return road it would start, almost like the battery was almost dead. But it was a good day, first time out went down to the last 5 cars in Pro...

Before I go saying what it ran, keep in mind what has been changed.
-Powerglide
-750 4150 to 1050 4500
-TM7 to Super Victor Intake

Last year with the 3 speed it ran 7.20's (1/8 mile) This year with the changes, ran 6.80's.

60 foots were 1.491, 1.491, 1.495, 1.495 in that order vs 3 speed was quickest 1.624.

Plugged 1/8 mile time into calculator and it gave me 10.70's as a 1/4 mile time. So I'm one happy camper! PS Video says 5 rds, but it was 4.

Congrats and nice videos! Sure makes me want to go racing. We got rained out today. There's always next weekend...
 
Found my issue with the stumble past 2000 RPM... Anyone ever seen this one happen before??

Do you still use the 452 heads? Those ET's look pretty darn good. I'd bet 10.80's or low '90's for sure in the quarter. Just to double check, you got your Glide setup from the same guys that did your 727? Keep us updated on the Glide durability.

Hey guys! Like moparmarkk said, won @ Emerald Coast Dragway last night in "Nostalgia Trans Brake" as they called it, but it was an absolute blast. Went from having all those issues the night before, to pulling into the winner's circle. Car was deadly all day... I'm really loving this powerglide in this car! I did have a bit of trouble finding my way on the tree when the night time fell, but once I found it, we were in goood shape! Kinda neat by the way... Didn't expect the wheels to come up with a 1.80 first gear!

Great job! It's always fun to win. The picture looks like a good hard launch too.
 
Nice improvements. I see intake,carb, trans, converter. it would be interesting to see what parts made what improvement. I'd buy the intake/carb for the power improvement. Much have had an out to lunch converter with the old set-up to be able to pick-up .13 in 60ft. Your new converter looks to be very close. Especially since at your weight the Glide usually 60fts slower. Glad it worked out for you.
