Lost my good friend and at my fault

I just saw this, man that's so sad Devlin...
May Poor ol' {young} lil' buddy Sampson RIP
{he was a great looking dog too, love seeing dogs run it's pure joy}

Don't be too hard on yourself, it was a honest mistake,
he must have been curious, got too close etc.

It does suck losing a loved one, my dogs are like family,
I'd be crushed & hard on myself too...
How could you not be ?, he was your buddy, companion...

I'd be pissed if it wasn't no big deal or you weren't torn
& guilt ridden...

Your a good man, he looks to have been a good friend...

RIP Sampson, all dogs go to heaven...

You have my deepest heartfelt condolences
& my deepest sympathy...

Very sorry to hear about this Dev....it has taken me a day to think of what to write. :(
Try not to punish yourself too much, and just remember the happy times together. :thumbsup:

I'm sorry for your loss but these things happen. If you live long enough you'll unfortunately have some of these events. I was digging a hole and stuck the shovel in the dirt. It wasn't secure enough and the handle fell striking the dog directly on the head. Dead two days later. We had some strays that stayed at our ranch. Came out to the ranch one morning and all that was left on the highway was the hide. About 3 years ago I let our dog out to go to the bathroom and she got too close to the street. She was hit and dragged 50 yards. She lived but I've never gotten over the guilt and the sound she made afterwards. Again sorry but these things happen.

Hang in there Sir, I know how you feel. very sad. I had a freakish happening a few years back, our boxer Rocky came up the driveway to greet me after work, he always chased my truck, but this one time he misjudged and went under the front wheel. It took me a long time to sorta get over it, but it will always be in my mind.
Peace be with you
