The shop, that is working on my car, is just about ready to start painting it (hopefully). I want them to mini-tub the rear tubs. I believe they said about 3 " on each side.
I have a pair of 275/60R15 tires with 15 x 8 rims to put on my car. I am keeping the back seat. I am curious if this is going to interfer with the exhaust system going out the rear of the car. I don't want to relocate the rear springs.
All I want to do is open up the rear fenderwells to fit the tires. The following information is:
    Tire diameter is 28.06"
    Section width is 10.70"
    Tread width is 8.90"
    The wheels are as follows:
    Back spacing is 4.250
    Offset is 6.00 mm
With this information does anybody think there should be any problem fitting these tires and rims to the car. Thanks for any help.

Just my opinion, but if you do tubs, move the springs too. Having extra room give so many options.

I've got those tires on my stock 66 in the back. I believe my backspacing is 4.5". They fit, but it's TIGHT!

My '66 Satellite has 325/50/15 on 10" wheel 5" back space & narrowed Dana. Springs in to frame rails, mini tubbed.

I'm in the process of doing this to a 67 Coronet. Car is heading to the shop shortly and I'm trying to fit 315/60 r15s without stretching the wheel opening. I'l let you know how that goes. I'l get pics as soon as we start.

Not so much the rim width as the overall tire section width. Looks like a 12" wide wheel will just fit with a Phoenix 11.5W x 15 slick (15.5" section width). The 325/50/15 BFG's use the 10"wheel. The guy I bought the car from says the Dana is 47 7/8" flange to flange.

BTW the 11.5W's are too tall for the stock wheelwell. would rub on the front of opening. I moved the axle back 3/4".

It literally makes no sense to mini-tub if you don’t also move the springs. The stock spring location is tighter than the wheeltubs to begin with. The two procedures should go hand-in-hand. US Cartool makes a complete kit for mini-tubing and moving the springs.

is the kit from us cartool a quality complete kit? I ask because I'm planning on moving springs to gain more clearance but wasn't sure if it's worth paying for a kit if a fabricator needs to re engineer it anyways

Well the car out for the transformation. I wanted to stick with 10 inch wide wheels with 29/10.5w tires but he said let's plan for 12inch wide wheels, more $$$ spent too have a rear end built

I no longer have the 67 Belvedere. I sold the car last April. The shop told me that they couldn't finish it due to lack of employees. Sold it and bought a 2016 Challenger. Still love the body style of the 67 Belvedere.
