Great looking fish! Sounds like fun, Mopar fun!

Swede, Your engine looks real good in there, i really love the valve covers, i keep seeing them and im going to get a set..

Looking good bud, I love the look of your engine, definitely give a sinister tone to the car.

Getting ready with the rust, 99 % done, just need to weld in the trunkfloor but I wonder if I should paint it underneath with the primer before I weld it in the car. That goes for the framerails too, it is much easier to do it now and the just paint it with top coat when it sits in place, it is not so fun painting upside down and I am a little afraid not covering it all, leaving bare metal.
And I am also wonder if I shold use some kind of coating in the wheelhouse or under the whole rear end of the car. Tough choices!

Use weld-thru primer for the top of the rails and underneath where you will weld. It won't peel off from the heat and melts to form a protective coating. Its like $20 for a large spray can but worth it in the end.

I intend to clean all my loose undercoating off, seal it up with paint and primer wherever I need to and re-undercoat the entire undercarriage. It should help protect it from road debris and is cheaper and less time consuming. Though if you plan for this to be a show car rather then driver I say only coat the wheel wells and then I would use a good healthy coat of truck bedliner.

I realized that it might be the last sunny weekend of the year so I brought together and assembled the bench. Vinyl is much easier to work with when it is hot and it was easy to slip it on the seat.
Have cleaned and painted the frame and upholstery cleaned, smells like a new car...
Will buy some black vinyl paint for the neckrests that are white.

Has also made the new brackets to the front bumper.

Hey swede, seats look good and those brackets came out great.Amazing that you made them just from the pictures i showed you.

Roger, I did have some fragment of the old ones left but the pictures sure was a must to have, thanks again!

Got a package today containing seat belt material, on roll of red and one roll of black, thinking of replace those old ones I got to this soft shiny ones, my daughter just got a sewing machine so I better dust of the old knowledge from fifth grade and start sewing!
The red one looks a little like orange in this pictures but it is more red, what do you think, I think it looks great on the black seats, a little like a racing look. A nice contrast.

You're right it does give it that racing look, plus they match your car's color and helps break up the interior a little bit.

Damn! I have to start working on the project again! Will try to weld in the trunk floor this weekend. One month since I made some progress... Not good!

Saturday morning, getting ready to go out to the project, everything is perfect, got my coffee, ready to rock´n roll!
Then disaster strikes, wife told me I have to finish an inside project, repainting the door posts to my daughters room, WTF, it´s been that way for months, could it just wait one more day? The answer was NO and the rest is history...
To be continued.

Well, I don´t like bragging but in this case I will do so! Guess who is almost done welding???
