Hey guys,

Just ran to the gas station and I am hearing a new noise from my 63 Sport fury. Sounds like it is coming from the drivers side rear. It goes away under acceleration, but when I coast it clunks. I didn't see anything just looking under the car. I'm thinking driveshaft or axle issue?? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Make a video and post the link to it here.
Otherwise, we'd all be tossing up guesses at best.

First thing you do, is get under the vehicle, safely of course, and visually inspect suspension and drivetrain for any loose/missing bolts, nuts, etc.

Craig from the same time frame, maybe a couple years earlier...

I thought for sure you all would be able to diagnose it based on my vague description . I will get some video tomorrow. Thanks!

Previous Owner might have installed inferior Chinese muffler bearings.

They probably need replacing or the very least a good greasing. :poke:

Most muffler bearings are greaseable/serviceable, Gotta change them...

1) The ficklesnort is too close to the cockbite valve.
2) Rust in the turbo encabulator.
3) High resistance in the fractoid magnaflap.
