Power Steering Pump

Hi ,im detailing my engine and engine compartment ,When i removed the power steering pump i noticed there was quite a bit of end play ,i can move the pully in and out about half an inch or maybe a little less,Is this normal ,and is it possible to adjust ,and is there a rebuild kit for it .Im really not haveing a problem with it ,but it could be leaking a little not sure,

A little end play is one thing but a half an inch? I would repair/replace it as soon as possible before the pulley goes through your radiator. What kind of pump is it, Federal or TRW?

To be honest im not sure how do you tell the difference.I didnt think the auto stores would have them back that far.Learn something new every day
