Saw thos a few months back...the Monte Carlo was a mob gambling ship that was lost and grounded on Coronado. It evidently disappeared under silt for many years and was recently uncovered. Nothing grand about it bit still pretty neat. People walk out on the deck at low tide.

One of my favorite songs. Loved to plat that on my acoustic 12 string with a capo.

I don't know what a song is called that doesn't have a chorus. There might be a name for it.
It's done in a story telling style that I've heard other songs like it done in.
Haunting.

If you like that Lightfoot song, you probably also like his earlier ship disaster 'The Ballad of Yarmouth Castle', a liner that burned in 1965.
