Anyone know what connects this Cupler from the steering shaft to the steering box? Is it a roll pin or a bolt?

If you research a coupler rebuild kit on the web, you’ll find the kit comes with a roll pin. Also, I just did this rebuild and I strongly recommend one of the coupler clamps

Goes on hard but really secures things up!

Here’s the rebuild kit. Not sure if all are the same as there are different couplers. Just verify for your application.

I agree with Xp29h. I did the rebuild on my Barracuda and got one of the coupler clamps, that he provided the link to, to hold the coupler cover closed properly after opening. Mine was a little tight to put on, and I had to bend it open slightly, but it works great at keeping that cover tightly in place.

Oh,.. Make sure you get the shoes installed correctly. They go in the hard way and should be tough to align. If you get them in the wrong way there will be a lot of play in the wheel.

Also a good thing to do is drill and tap for a zerk grease fitting on top of the coupler.
