This 1966 Corvette had quite an effect on a girl.

Guys and girls view things differently as we all know. We might go ga-ga over a Hemi Road Runner that really doesn't flip any switches for a woman. I saw a couple go into a classic car lot filled with awesome muscle cars and classics from the 50's to the 80's. The girl/lady was about 28 years old and pretty sexy but not overly so. She knew her cars though. When she got into a 1966 Corvette coupe in maroon, that did it for her. I don't mean she liked it, it transformed her. All girls want to be a princess, this did it for her. I could tell if there was any way the guy could have bought it for her he would have.

It's no revelation that a 2nd gen Corvette is special but are there ANY other cars out there that you can think of that flips a switch for a woman like that. I really couldn't think of any besides some exotics but that's usually because of the amount of money that has been spent, not actually the car.

My 66 corvette did get a lot of comments from females. My 2008 Z06 only got one which was enough for it to go away. Pulled into Starbucks and a good looking lady shouts “that’s some mid life crisis you have there”
I think the Road runner will get some positive vibes once it’s driving. The wife’s friends always have comments.

I'll let everyone know once I start driving my 68 Roadrunner! ruffcut

I've seen girls in movies who seem to like red 1965 Mustang convertibles. I just had never watched a reaction like that girl in the Corvette. She wasn't liking the car was cool because a cool guy was driving it or thought the guy was cool because of his car. This was HER imagining herself in the car and she really liked it.

My 2006 Red Porsche turned many a girls head. Stopped at a gas station and a well dressed man got out of his car and started taking pics from different angles, a real camera too.

Easy answer: Dodge Charger

Better answer who gives a flying "F" what anybody thinks !!!

My bet is that different girls react to different cars differently. In my youth, my '70 Lime Green black Vinal top Barracuda seemed to attract a fair amount of very attractive girls. Seriously dated a few. One became my wife of 43+ years. The gen 2 corvettes are really cool.

Corvettes have always been referred to as "Girls cars "
My first wife had 3 of them.

i'll bet that 28 year old girl was transformed into something else because of her vast knowledge and life long experiance of all things corvette and had nothing to do with hollywoods image of the corvette

My car generates a lot of interest.
From the men because of the power train.

But honestly, I get more comments on the black with red interior color combination from women. They love it The seats have this pearl essence look to it women like, apparently a lot

Both my daughters love it, and could care less what engines in it

My X loved MG's, bug eyed sprites and Mini Coopers but she liked the new Mini's and I like the old ones. She had a MGB/GT once but geez, no freaking power and it felt cramped to me.

My wife loves to go for rides in my 427, 66 Corvette which I have never quite figured out as it’s not stock and is loud, smelly and coarse. And she really likes to look at 50s era Vette at car shows. For her, the Mopars are more my thing.

The C2 coupes are my favorite....

My daughter likes ‘curvy’ cars, the 2nd gen vettes are her favorite. She was sad I sold mine 5 years before she was born (seeing photos of it). My wife liked my ’67 GTO I had when we started dating and the ’66 T-Bird my mother had. She bought a ’66 vert we later used to collect a down payment for our 1st house.

Read an article when the new challengers came out from some lofty supposed car guy saying the Challengers were a mid-life crisis buy. Thought this dude was full a **** ripping on people who would buy one forgetting those who buy one ahh…just because they LIKE it. Some people are into cars and others aren’t. Some have money to buy the most expensive cars never turning a wrench and others build one. IMO, there’s a difference as to the definition of a car guy or collector. Some like art or antiques and pay a fortune for it. Never heard anyone asking them if that antique chair or painting was a mid-life crisis buy. I liken old cars to a form of art, rolling art. We have cars that others like and will look at it and give the thumbs up. All nice; but the reason I drive the ride I have is cuz I like it - period.

I got hooked on Mopars with a neighbors '65 Satellite 383 4 spd. At 18 in '71 I was desperate for a '70 Cuda to share with my mom. She got some kicks out of it to. Guys would pull alongside her and rev their motor. She laughed. Bought my '65 Coronet drag car in '74 and worked to make it consistent and faster. By '83 it was a 10.50 car.

I really have never cared what other people think of my car, bikes, house, or how I dress. With that being said, the wife and I had pulled into a parking lot two college girls pulled up and said wow we love that car. It was pretty cool that the young girls noticed the car. I also think it's pretty cool when any young person finds old cars interesting

This is not about you getting a compliment on your car, it's about a woman or girl wanting that car for themselves. Certainly, the Thunderbird in Thelma and Louise gave them a sense of empowerment but I don't think women in general lust after that model.

My red '69 GTX with pewter interior used to draw way more attention from Baby Boomer women than men of the same age, even at a national Mopar venue like Carlisle. They always commented on how well the silver and black interior matched the exterior. The X chromosome seems to carry an insight into color coordination males often seem to lack.
