What bent the valves? Here still doing motor mounts. Passenger easy ds with headders and ps more fun. Ended up doing Spool mounts not Impressed with the china knockoffs very thin and they just squish things to fit. Hope all is well.
Not my style, nor would I build one for myself. But he's a three-peat customer. Hopefully I'll finish it this week and get back to my mopars.
I bought the truck knowing it had bent valves. The one timing chain on the left bank jumped as the result of a broken tensioner. The 4.7 is an interference engine (only the intake valves). I bought the truck on Thursday, went to Chryslers at Carlisle on Friday and found both heads, new re-manufactured, for $200. I couldn't go wrong . I'm just glad I don't have to work on this newer stuff for a living.
To answer spacing motor mounts probly on a tough side cut some 1/2 ar500 and the back tab needs 3/16.
Easier question would be what am I not working on! I rebuilt my motorcross track 2 weeks ago so I'm still cleaning up after that (brush, tree roots and smoothing out the dirt) and adding drainage. Still trying to wrap up my dad's truck. I bought an LMC exhaust kit for it that really disappointed me so I'm cutting it all up and redoing the whole thing.. they had it looping under the frame and running down the outside! Putting in a swing set, footer is in.. Getting the Charger ready for some touch up paint. The main objective is to clean my slate well before winter so I can 100% focus on my daughter's Mopar project.
