I recently watched the video below about 70 year old Quaker State oil. It reminded me of a post on FBBO about having some unopened, really old motor oil. So, which one of you sent it to him?

Q S was a paraffin (wax) based oil as was Pennzoil.
My son worked at Jiffy Lube when he was a kid. He could tell who was a regular customer by removing the oil cap. The inside was gummed up.

Yes, many of the oils from our cars time were paraffin based oils. The two that I know were not were:
Amoco Super Permalube and Quaker State Superblend.
I used the Amoco because I couldn't trust all the Quaker State products.
