These were given to the mechanic I work with. We did some research, 5/8 drive ratchet dating 1925/26. Called it a super service set. Smallest socket is a 15/16 goes up to 1 5/8. I don’t think the set is complete. The one extension is much newer.
The other oddball ratchet says No 88 and that’s it. Can’t find any info on it or pictures on the internet.
Wondering what the value would be on all the Snap on stuff. If it’s only a couple hundred he would just make a display out of them.

You want to find the value on stuff like this look it up on eBay

Looking at the ratchet those may be industrial. My dad had a few from when he worked in the steel mill 1940-1980.
My local Snap-On man (long retired) told me that all have date codes of when they are made.
I had a 1/2'' ratchet that was from 1952 according to him.

Probably 30's stuff.

From what I've seen in the past, vintage tools are not worth a lot. In my opinion they have more worth as useable high quality tools than collector value.
BUT, I am no expert.

^^^^^ Yeah the poor mechanic is still making weekly payments on them.
I've been there !!

Probably was still making payments on them!!

not Snap On but pretty cool...... been around as long as I can remember

Cool old iron... Probably aught to make a display case & hang them on a shop wall... 5/8 drive went away a long time ago, kinda like 19/32 sockets & wrenches...

I have a 3/8" rachet similar to the one with a tapered body.. Mines dated 1944...

I have my Dad's tools from the 20's 30's 40's
Just go here for info on the very early snap on stuff
