Took the cover off of it in the shop. Sat back in my chair with a Bolivar Cigar and a cold beer and just looked at it for a change!! LOL

There's an awful lot of mopar ebay listings in Mentor. What's that all about?

I sanded and temporary primed/painted a bare metal spot on my inner fender.
It had been really bugging me (and I don't know why it wasn't rusted yet), and since I had the heater control valve off for replacement, that was about the best access I was gonna get, short of pulling the a/c lines.

Not an exact match, but better than bare metal.

Tomorrow the hearter valve goes in. Hopefully I'll get done and be able to drive it to work on Friday.
Kinda chilly in the mornings right now (mid 40's) and I'd like to try the heater

Chilly in the AM at 40.. Well i guess it is Florida, I went to town this am and it was 6. and my heater isint blowing but very little warm air, enough to keep windshield from frosting, Got me buffaloed, worked great the other day, rad is full, new thermostat and water pump, gauge reads 190-200.. Cold it was lol

I definately DON"T miss 3-4 months of 40* as the day's high, in Ohio.

Been there, done that.

I do miss about 2 weeks of snow, and driving on it.

Have to admit...Very good point and thats the way it is normally, sometimes with rain for almost as long... And there is sure enough snow out there to drive in for awhile, another close to a foot last night looking out onto my truck! But warmer, i guess, 14 degrees.. You win. :icon_pray:

...and I kind of miss the "assembly line" mentality, where almost everyone is at least somewhat mechanically inclined.

...although that makes for a kinda tough job market for that skillset.

When I got promoted to project manager, one of the forst things I did was give every crew member an assigned task when doing bulk installs (one guy opens the boxes, one guy removes the computer, another guy, plugs it in...etc). That was a totally foreign concept to almost everyone down here !!
It cut down the install time from days to hours, and got me my first "attaboy".

Got the mc bled and installed for my disc conversion, all the lines plumbed and for the 1st time in a couple months it's off of jack stands. Tonight i hope to get the brakes bled and firm.

Over the weekend I finally got my heater valve working.

I ended up using an aftermarket valve, and still need to modify the bracket so the cable can get the full range of motion, and mount to the fender.

I also purchased a set of Sebring Plus upper door panels from ebay.

They are much softer and more comfortable on the arm than the thin low price class base interior.

The are also white, in an effort to minimize some of the green that everyone loves to hate.

I really like the way it turned out. it gives it a very upscale, two tone look, and almost a nautical feel, IMO.

Also note my downspout PVC and rack mount "ear" cupholders

Started polishing the 908 rods for the 440 build. Gawd,I love little,tiny metal shavings. Sharp little @#$%&*$...

Time-consuming and dirty. But;well worth it in the long run. Got two of them bead-blasted,before the humidity kept packing up the beads in the feed hose.

Finally put it up on jack stands. Should have done it a couple months ago. Been lazy. I am planing on installing https://m.summitracing.com/parts/exp-13120 these helper springs and removing the air shocks.

Looks very good and a fine idea. What car is this? A '73 Satellite?

Got my 383 painted and started putting stuff back on all new gaskets etc.
Went from this to the orange correct for this block.

Yep, that's my Satellite.

Panels match well with my $150 swap meet buckets and $80 FBBO member buddy seat.

I've got a set of white lower panels that are maybe a little worse than the green ones.
Maybe I'll try them if I put in my power windows. Might even try SEM on them.

I spread another coat of mud on the new shop walls that the b body will be worked on in.

Ive been doing some body work, filled in my turn sig holes and the antenna hole is next.

Modified my "new" convertible top cables so they would fit correctly. Installed drivers A pillar seal holder. Layed out well liner snaps locations on new rear tack strips.

Drove it to work. 65 and sunny here. I will work on my 2-3 high rpm shifting when I romp on the flyover to 87 south on the way home. I have the 5 speed Keisler-Tremec for 7 years and still can't find third at high rpm. The secret is to pretend you are trying to put it in first.

Got a couple more of the rods polished. Five down,three to go. Then,out for re-sizing and the new rod bolts and .990 bushings. Then set them aside and on to something else.
