67 Plymouth spring and mini tub mod

Few questions:poke: What made you go to a glide? Are you installing frame connectors?? Will you be autocrossing or drag racing?
Asking for a friend..............

Pg because my trans was at the point where I'd spend double the price to have a clean neutral with a brake. My trans guy builds all of our dragster and door cars. I also was at the point of needing an sfi bell for safety . So I went to the dark side a little bit. Auto cross probably not, sub frame connectors yes and I've had them for about18 years.

Asked about the connectors as your installing a bar. I've seen the bar plated OR through the floor to the connectors for strength. I also would think your car would 60ft better with 3 speeds. What is your goal for ET?

My subframe connectors are from Mancini racing and they do not go through the floor. They bolt to the front and rear frame. Not sure what 60ft will be, my best before was 1.55. 6.90s 1/8 100mph on 26x9s with 4.10. I've read pg uses less hp to move and only need to shift once. So I really dont know what is going to happen. I would happy running low 6.30s I've made changes all over the car so....

My main hoop welds to the rocker with 6x6 plates, as do the other bars.

Damn that really let loose hope the driver is okay

Yes he is, that's the 3rd one that I know of this year.all 3 caused a lot of body damage. The one before this was a cuda the tc went through the p/s door

Looks like a blanket in store for this transmission. I get the glide deal even the stock glide was damn near bullet proof not to mention the low gear 1 it had in it.

That's good at least you know your toes are good to go. Just kidding you are building a great ride been following you and thanks for the heads up on everything. Time to see some slips soon for you

Transmissions need to be upgraded as the power levels go up. As well as U-joints,shaft hoop, billet drums, shields or blankets . I climbed up and broke plenty of parts along the way.

Yes, it's part of racing. Parts will brake, even new parts. I'm trying to set my car up a safe as possible. I'll probably never see the 9 second range, but I figure if I make it safe for 9s then I should be good.

1350 joints are a must
