Got my punch card scan and a letter in the mail about three weeks after emailing. Unfortunately the column text is unreadable from about 50-80. I was able to find another '65 card on google, but it was also pretty unreadable from about 60 to the end. Anyone have one that shows what the text says in that area of a '65 card? I made an Excel sheet to try to decipher what I could read, screen shot below.

Emailed in my request on 11/25 and I just got my copy of the IBM card in the mail today. Now I need to get it decoded.

HERE'S SOME USEFULL INFORMATION

Since they are sending out copies of the build card without any decoding, I'd suggest buying a "Chrysler Corporation Production Option Code Book"

Doing a quick search it looks like Galen Glovier has them. You can keep an eye out on Ebay, once in awhile they pop up on there. Amazon shows them but they are out of stock. Watch for which addition they are. There's a Forth Addition Feb. 2004 and a newer Fifth Addition June 2013. Here's Goviers link...

You'll almost need a magnifying glass to read the small print but they are what you need for decoding your Build Card.

You take the two numbers at the bottom of column (example, under the transmissions) it's #34 and add the punched number #2 and you get 342

Look up 342 in the decode book under your year and see the info.

If the column is blank on your card like in the engine section for example, it's a standard item.

This book is the best you'll find for these years. Learning how to use one takes some practice but they'll mostly have what you are looking for. They have some fender tag info, also and a little history.

Lebshiff22 looks to me like the last four numbers above "Sold" might be the shipping numbers. "SO" being the Scheduled Production Date and "NUMBER" Shipping order number. You'll find them on your fender tag to verify. Without seeing the copy they sent you I'm not sure what you are missing that's not readable. (Looks like you missed one black out in your copy in the four columns)

Well a couple of things pop up when deciphering the card. First the engine code on card says 38-3 & 37-7, 083 on my broadcast papers show that number as a 440 hp but my vin shows H for Hemi.? Second it says 421 for radio and the car didn’t have one. Other option is the tinted glass, no other options. I checked on line two different places and had the same for engine, maybe they’re just coping each other who knows? Where can I look up the code for dealerships to see where it was sold?

On my fender tag SO = 526 and NUMBER = 08301 which maps to columns 1-3 for Schedule Day and Month and 4-8 for Sequence.

Is that a 1965 card? My last 10 columns map directly to my VIN.

Here's the '66 to '68 code book...

Has anyone purchased one? Before buying I want to know what it ALL covers.

I have the '62 to '65 and I can totally decode my build card and most of my fender tag. You won't find this online anywhere for the earlier cars. '66 or '67 I'm not sure. I know there have been many who try to decode their early cars online but most of that info is for the '68 and newer.

As far as I understand, this service can only be given to 67 cars and older. Why is there no equivalent service for 68 cars and newer?

I thought that they were thrown out into a landfill?
I actually heard that they did this with a bunch of replacement (NOS) parts back in the 80’s when they were in financial trouble and the parts were deemed to be worthless.
