Congrats to 'memike' (FABO)! Both he and 'ocdart' (FABO) and that blind squirrel ended up with 31.5 qualifying bonus points for the Pep Boys NHRA Nationals with picks of the #1 qualifiers in Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and the #2 qualifier in Pro Stock.
'Budnicks' (FBBO), 'cuda20' (FABO) and 'TT5.9mag' (FABO) were right behind in the #2 qualifier spot with 30.0 bonus points each.
More great picks!

We have 12 players this week and 10 different driver combos made up of:
* 4 different Top Fuel drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchup. There is a possibility of one head-to-head matchup in Round 2 if both drivers survive Round 1.
* 4 different Funny Car drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The earliest possibility of any head-to-head matchup is the Semi-Final round of eliminations.
* 2 different Pro Stock drivers with no Round 1 head-to-head matchups. The earliest possibility of a head-to-head matchup is the Final round of eliminations.
* 4 different Pro Stock Motorcycle drivers. The earliest possibility of any head-to-head matchup is the Semi-Final round of eliminations.

Good luck all!

Neither 'ksurfer2' (FBBO), 'Rat Bastid' (FABO), or 'shittyslant6' (FABO) made picks for the first round of the 'Countdown' and they did not have "locked" picks. By game rules they will end the game with the points they earned during only the regular season. I will show their points following the end of the 2022 game.

Congratulations to both 'memike' (FABO) and 'ocdart' (FABO) for winning the "Top Picker Eliminator" title for the 2022 Pep Boys NHRA Nationals with very nice totals of 156.5 points each. Both their Funny Car and Pro Stock picks won their class. Their Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle picks lost in the second round of eliminations. They were both helped with ET bonus points in both Top Fuel and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and Speed bonus points in Top Fuel, Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle.
'cuda20' (FABO) grabbed the runner-up spot with 145.0 points.

'Nick2317' was the highest FBBO player with 134.5 points.

Here's where the bonus points were earned if you picked the right drivers:

Top Fuel
E.T. - Brittany Force, 3.696 during qualifying
Speed - Brittany Force, 337.66 during Round 1 of eliminations

Funny Car
E.T. - Robert Capps, 3.8586 during Round 1 of eliminations
Speed - Robert Capps, 334.90 during qualifying

Pro Stock
E.T. - Bo Butner III, 6.523 during qualifying
Speed - Erica Enders, 210.87 during qualifying

Pro Stock Motorcycle
E.T. - Matt Smith, 6.741 during qualifying
Speed - Matt Smith, 201.82 during Round 1 of elinminations

Here are the game point standings after the 17th event of the 2022 season and the opening event of the "Countdown":
2144.5 - Back in Time (FABO) no change
2134.0 - cuda20 (FABO) no change
2125.5 - memike (FABO) +1
2113.5 - Nick2317 (FBBO) -1
2089.0 - TT5.9mag (FABO) no change
2079.0 - Budnicks (FBBO) no change
2079.0 - ocdart (FABO) +2
2062.5 - Outlawd (FBBO) -1
2050.5 - SSG Karg (FABO) -1
2031.0 - alsant (FBBO) no change
2001.5 - johnnycuda (FABO) no change
1989.5 - 64BEL (FBBO) no change

No rest because the 18th race of the 2022 season and the 2nd race of the 'Countdown', is the Betway NHRA Carolina Nationals scheduled for September 23-25, at zMAX Dragway in Concord, NC.
As always, your picks need to be posted before the first of three (3) Pro Qualifying sessions starts at 6:30pm EDT (3:30pm PDT) on Friday, September 23.
nhra.com currently shows the following number of entries:
* 16 Top Fuel
* 13 Funny Car
* 20 Pro Stock

Pro Stock Motorcycle will not compete at this event.

Those counts are always subject to change so make sure to check to make sure your driver picks are entered.

Get your picks posted and GOOD LUCK!

way to go last race, with 134.5 pts picks @Nick2317

best at FBBO
but went down -1 (?)
that doesn't make sense
unless the guy who took your place went up a ton more

Post #208 says it all.
'Nick2317' had the best FBBO score for the Pep Boys Nationals, but his score wasn't as good as several FABO players.

'Nick2317' total was 10 points higher than 'memike' before the Pep Boy Nationals.
'Nick2317' scored 134.5 for the Pep Boys Nationals, 'memike' scored 156.5 beating 'Nick2317 ' by 22.0 points for the race and dropping 'Nick2317' by one spot.
