What did you do to your Mopar today?

it was about Time to get a new Clutch!
So i pulled the Motor with the 4Speed and installed a Centerforce Dual Friction Clutch.
New Flywheel, new Z Bar with new bearings, new throwout bearing and a new Bellhousing ballstud/bracket

Got tired of trying to get my floor jack under these low slung cars like my 05 Sebring so I made a set of these.

Didn't do anything today but I ordered both front floor pans and the 4 speed tunnel hump for my 70 plymouth.
 
Got both cars cleaned up today for car shows every day this week. With the weather cooled down and rain chances low looks like we'll be out every night this week.SAM_1821.jpgSAM_1822.jpg
 
More wiring on the `cuda ragtop project. Should start the next time we work on it.
 
Dang all I did was clean mine some more...drove it to the gym and took Big Ole Bubba with me. And we dont call him big nor Bubba for no reason.
 
Got another piece of the car into Epoxy Primer . . .

Work continues on the build, and my progress of getting the car into epoxy primer . . .

Just ordered a converter from Frank Lupo at Dynamic.
 
Sunday started to pull the old started and replace with a new Mini. Headers too close, hit the new starter and would not bolt back up, so today I raised the car more and pulled the header out from the bottom. In the process of dinging the header and carefully grinding a little off the edge of the starter

Well, at the suggestion of IDriveMopar here, I spent the better part of the day reinstalling the thermostat for my CCA A/C. For those that did not follow, CCA supplies an aftermarket thermostat that really should be installed in the heater box on the evaporator. If they'd have told me that I would have, since the box was out of the car. But they suggest you wrap a sensor around the line on the opposite side of the firewall and when it starts to freeze, the t/stat (in theory) will kick off the compressor thus keeping the system from slowing down. But it doesn't work because the lines are basically above the exhaust manifold. so their solution is to wrap them with this black goo. But the thermostat is still in the engine compartment and still won't kick off. So IDriveMopar moved his per this thread:

and now that the car season is over, I did the same. It's now in the cowl/vent on the opposite side of the firewall.
It is tough working in these areas because it seems as no matter how hard you try, you always move or touch something that you shouldn't. But with patience, I got it done today and worst case, the A/C works the same and I killed an afternoon. I'll let everyone know in the spring I guess.

Still working to get this in primer, get the bodywork done, and get it in paint so it can start being put back together . . .

Also did some trimming on the 2013 Challenger tunnel hump so it can go into the 67 . . .

Pressure washed the 70 rr and stripped every bit of interior out of it. Vacuumed all the crap out of her, and made my markings for the 4 speed tunnel hump and where I'm going to cut the front floors out for the new pans. Very productive day
 
8 more bolts, and we'll have the hemi outta the WO car.
 
Changed the oil, and changed out the valve cover gaskets. Also found coolant coming out of one of the valve cover bolts. Sounds like I might have some cracked heads on my hands, not too happy about that…
 
I finally tried to use the timing tape to time my engine. I installed it with the balancer off the engine so yes it is on backwards. I was able to set initial right. I had been using a vac gauge but now using a light for timing and a little more carb tuning with the vac gauge it runs better than it has since I had it apart 2 years ago.
 
well I'm getting use to the rebuilt carb characteristics. 2 pumps short spin...2 pumps short spin and whaaaa LA. She starts everytime. Drove down to the cruise in...successfully and back. I need to come out a half turn on the screws to eliminate an ever so slight hesitation but I'm enjoying it!!!!
 
Sent some parts off to the platers. Also removed my gas tank and found more rust than I would have liked to have found :angryfire:
 
I pieced together the front of the small block

So I am putting together a small block for the DIRTBIRD.

Of course I want a gen III Hemi or a big block but I don't have funds for that right now so I got 2 318s and a 727 for $300 from a local guy who assured me they both ran when he pulled them. (fingers crossed)

The engine I decided to run had a freeze plug leak so I replaced all of them and cleaned out the block of all of the dried up stop leak debris in the water jackets.

I also cleaned up the block and painted it.

Today; my GF helped me to clean and paint all of the alternator and p/s parts and we bolted it together.

Got my Dark Argent spray paint in the mail today from Roseville parts, freaking shipping was outrageous! web sites says they are in Washington state but they shipped from east coast! dam it! but I got two cans just in case at $18 a can just stocked up will use it on my grill and bezels I got from another member here :) testing it out on an old grill I wrecked practicing refinishing it :( see how it looks tomorrow.
