Beautiful car Hawk, love the early Vettes. That's a nice collection of cars you're assembling. You keeping the '60?
No, I traded the 60 for the 62. The 60 was damn near perfect, but not done and still needed a lot of work. The 62 is far from perfect, being unrestored, but it is all together and everything works just as it should. It is also special from a family perspective, and that makes it cool from my perspective. My 70 Road Runner is now a forever car due to my trip in 2015, and the Corvette is too due to it's family history with my father-in-law.
That is so awesome Hawk, especially the part about your Dad enjoying a ride in the Vette. It may not be a Mopar, but it is cool as a fan and truly an icon. Enjoy my friend.
Thanks. As a few have said here on other posts, you can never replace your dad. I learned so much from my dad, and it hurts to see him go through Alzheimer's. But I am determined to help him through it with as much dignity and honor as I can. He loved coming along for the first couple of days with my Road Runner trip in 2015, and taking him for a tour with the Corvette was special too. Now the weather has turned. I only hope he is in good enough shape to enjoy another few rides in the Road Runner and Corvette in the spring.
To all: Thanks for the kind words and posts: all greatly appreciated!
Hawk
