The car is beautiful...My dad had a 57 straight six and three speed on the column. More importantly than cars is your father raised a good and thoughtful son. Congats all around

Nice looking car! A buddy bought a 2dr sedan in 70. It was solid and straight but needed a paint job and interior but the car was cheap. I looked years for a 57 Ranchero but never found one that wasn't dogged out and that was back in the 70's too.

57 was arguable the best looking ford since the new 49 fords came out.
I would paint the steel wheels on it and add dog dish caps.
I agree on the body colored steelies and poverty caps. My neighbor had a 57 fairlane back when I was a kid. Powder blue, and white 2 door hardtop, and dog dish caps. I loved the look of that car. I love the look of the 57 ford ranchero as well.

In 1958 they ruined it. The 4 eyes front ends they put on em and the T bird were effin ugly. It seemed everybody was going 4 headlights in the late 50s for a new look.

That's a nice looking car & you're a good boy!
