Hey guys, really excited here about a new purchase. My dad just turned 75 and is obviously retired, therefore on a fixed income. He really likes all my cars and wanted a older driver that he could play with. After some exhausting searches, we found that anything he could afford was at a condition that I was gonna need to work on it for a while to get it reliable. As a Mopar was out of his price range and because I don’t want anything else in my garage but a Mopar, I needed to look elsewhere. Anyway, we found a 1957 Ford that is an older restoration but solid and drivable as is. Unfortunately that too was out of his price range. Well, long story short, the wife and I surprised him by telling him we would pony up half the cost. It melted my heart when he cried after I loaded it up.
Just wanted to share with y’all.
57 Fords are cool. I always wanted a red and white fairlane Fardtop. Stopped at a gas station tonight, and a guy was there with a beautiful blue and white 57 Ranchero...
Read an article on the net about a guy who modded his column on one of these 57 fords and put in electric power steering using a Toyota yaris EPS motor.
