New Exoplanet located, and, it's nearby.

This is an easy one. Andromeda is scheduled to collide with the Milky Way. All we have to do is wait for it to come to us!
Speaking of interstellar incidents......the bright star at the top of ORION constellation, Betelgeuse I think, is about to go supernova soon, like in 500,000 years or so...already noticeably dimming...

If we say it's name 3 times, will it appear in front of us?

500,000 years is just a blink in time...maybe getting a little philosophical here after a bottle of wine, but I believe we'll keep making further gains and discoveries on this, but each time we do we'll be confronted by another absolutely fascinating set of science problems and unknowns. But we'll keep going, and keep learning. Just look back a mere 150 years on what science has discovered and accomplished. We have discovered things that never could have been comprehended just a short time ago. Don't forget the universe and the good Lord has a pretty big head start on us. Some days it's easy to fall into thinking it's nothing but doom and gloom out there. Thank goodness that's not the case in reality. I think it's totally possible we'll never stop learning (sure hope so anyway).

Yesterday we learned that Mars has water, salt and is making sodium chloride in the atmosphere...all good things for future colonization...also we learned that there exists a possible doorway to a fifth dimension in a little known particle..strange times..plus we discovered a heretofore unknown smallest lizard the size of a thumbnail sliver AND a new space object they call the "Farfarout" asteroid that is the farthest away object discovered so far...

I noticed the last show I watched kept casually mentioning the ice on Mars.

Not sure when they changed from "we're pretty sure it's there" to "here's some, and there's some, and over there is some more...".

...but it wasn't that long ago.

There are three landers about to hit MARS. All are in orbit right now.

I have achieved warp speed many times.
Just eat some White Castles and then pass gas....see how fast you and others move!

I am one of those that believe the speed of light is "the limit".

I believe we will someday approach but not exceed that speed.

Too many weird things happen (such as time distortion allowing you to arrive before you leave) when you exceed that speed.
Arriving before I leave could solve some problems for me.

This was interesting to listen to....seeing as how three countries have vehicles in orbit at the moment..
Why mapping Mars completely changed how we see it (msn.com)
Right, the United Arab Emirates just had their Mars satellite enter orbit out there. https://globalnews.ca/news/7629839/united-arab-emirates-mars-mission/

Including that one, there are more than three countries' satellites orbiting Mars; you can also include three from Nasa, one Chinese, one ESA, one shared between Russia and the ESA and one from India. There are also several more Russian and Nasa (American) satellites up there that have gone off-line.

The reason that compatible planets are so far away is to keep humans away. Nature protects itself.

Curious if you are warping space (/time) to bring your destination closer, and your buddy is next to you, also warping space/time to bring his different destination closer to him...

...does the universe rip in two?

No clue. What do you theorize?

I've been to that planet. nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there.
