What did you do to your Mopar today?

Took the 67 to a small cruize in. The car was running great. On the way home started getting a miss, and poping out the exhaust. Something wrong with #2 cylinder. Header tube showed 210 degree, all others showed in the 400's. Hopefully a just bad plug or wire.

Pulled the transmission out of my 73 Charger to do clutch service.
I’ve probably removed and installed the 4-speed at least 20 times over the years.
This was originally an auto trans car. I changed it over myself many years ago when I changed the engine from a 318 to a 413. I really didn’t know what I was doing then, (not sure I know much better now) so with the parts I used it was always a challenge.

I never realized the torsion bar crossmember was removable until I rebuilt the front end a couple of months ago.

This time I removed it and damn what a difference.

Was a quick fix #2 plug boot bad. Cut it off and crimped a new fitting and new boot. Car runs much better

What about Lexan? Clean your old glass and lay the Lexan on it and heat from underneath, slowly. Might want to surround it with something to keep heat in. Saw something like that on a Motor Trend program. That would trim easier.

I've been told it discolors and scratches over time? I appreciate the suggestion, but it's a done deal at this point.

Yup, and as much as I'm sure that I'm with majority in opposing chopping up a 2nd gen Charger roof, .....I also know that the majority of Forward Look guys have the same opinion about chopping up a FL car roof. Such is life.

what did I do today , ''wondered how its coming along'' , at Smothers supercars , being totally rewired , I`m too old and stiff to get underneath the dash anymore...
I rewired it about 12 yrs ago , but shorted the POS. post out real hard changing to new battery , developed a short , that I couldn't find , turned it over to an expert...
 
My 15x10 polished aluminum slotted wheels came in yesterday. I gave them a once over with some Mothers Mag Wheel Polish.

Changed the trans pan gasket and filter. Went with the new type Mopar plastic ribbed silicone gasket.

Been doing little things on mine, negative battery cable should be here today and then i will put in fluids and try firing it. (expecting leaks although i did the best i could... Never had a car leak before no idea why i'm expecting it now)
Also.. hooked a battery up (using jumpers) for the first time in 46 years.. surprised that most stuff works (heater motor sounds unhappy) but it actually turned over by the key and the neutral safety switch works.. it got me itching to fire it up now :)

Only real worry is, it's a new spectra tank/sending unit and used the lockring that came with it.. it fit tight but it seems everyone says it will leak..

Not sure I would call it fun. Been putting off going thru the valves for over a year.
Started off just a simple clean and some paint touchups. Its Snowballed into ;
Intake gaskets, valve seals and adjust valves. Clean and rebuild both carbs, New plugs and wires, points etc. etc. New radiator hoses, all new correct battery cables

With my plans to attend the NHOA meet in May. I felt now was as good a time as any to correct things I've been wanting to do since I bought it.

( hoses are my own creation btw )

You had the hose made?? The having fun was a little sarcasm. As a project snow balls it's less fun.
