Prayers sent for the Halls. Wishing you a full tecovery.
Thanks all for your prayers and well wishes. My wife and I have been fighting hard from February 13th. We both woke that morning and basically couldn't walk. After about 4 hours, I managed to be able to hobble around enough to get her some help and make a doctor's appointment for myself. My problem ended up being cellulitis in my left leg. My wife's problem was much worse. She was immediately on a walker or wheelchair. After several visits to the pain center, with little to no help an appointment was made with a back surgeon. At this time I'm about 80% back to normal and able to get her to all doctors appointments, do the shopping, and prepare meals, etc. My wife went through back surgery just fine, but full recovery and walking without a walker hasn't happened yet although she is getting better. Everything rocked along pretty good until June 12. That morning I woke with severe pain in my right leg, and it was quite different to me than what I had in my left leg. My wife's PT person showed up on schedule which she gets 3 times a week. He looked and felt of my leg and told me although he wasn't a doctor that I had the classic signs of a blood clot. So that afternoon I get a friend to take me to the ER. By 9:00 that night I'm in a hospital room. They determine that it's cellulitis in my right leg. Come to find out there are 3 bacteria that cause this. They treat me for 2 1/2 days on an antibiotic that covers 2 of the three, and the infection continues to spread. Then they add a second antibiotic that covers what is actually hurting me. Long story short is after 8 days in the hospital that I walked into, I'm wheeled out to negotiate around on a walker. My stepson came up and attended to my wife (his mother), but left this morning to return home in FL, as he is out of time off from work. We are deciding what kind of help we need compared to what we can afford and taking it a day at the time.
Thanks friends.
