What did you do to your Mopar today?

Putting NOS mirrors on my Fury:

Changed the 1157 LED's in my 330 out for some higher powered projectors that Superbrightled's quit offering a good while back. I had them in another car. I did so cause they were there only temperarally and because a buddy said during a night cruise that they were too dim.

Interesting thing happened during that night cruise. I'm just getting this 330 back on the road again sinse about 1998. Yeah it's been sitting a while! This is the 1st time sinse then it has been in town! I'm cruise'n along at probably a little less than the 35 speed limit when (my buddy in another car,...told me latter) a state police came by him at maybe 40mph faster than he was driven, then slowed to get right in my left blind spot. I was in the right lane on a 4 lane street.

I knew someone was there for a pretty long time, and I turned my head to see it had the small LED's around the head lights of the modern cars but that's all I could tell in the bright lights. Turned my head back and kept minding my own business. Then he turned off and disappeared. Latter my buddy told me what it was. I figure he was looking at my Hoosiers which are about bald, down to the ware bars,... barely had tread (been on the car sinse 96 :praying:) and my tag light was out.

Fixed the dim lights, the back-up lights, the tag light,..... and ordered new Hoosiers today.

Didn't have much time today, but I mounted my secondary fuel filter to the side of the frame with a couple of 1/4-20 threaded rivets, then ran a line from it to the fuel pressure sensor. Still have to run the return line, then I'll clip & grommet the lines to secure them.

Well, we shall see.
First time painting.
I enrolled in the Dubb's online body and paint academy.
That's great - there has to be a first time for everything, and I admire folks who take the plunge into painting their cars. It is a task that I have (so far) been too afraid to try. I suck at painting...

By the way, I love the color combo!

got my block and other engine parts coated today, switched out the stock front rubber brake lines (2 short from the factory) for my liking. all brakes including the e brake are completed, just need to be bled. hughes 3500 stall, 8 weeks to go for my custom ground cam from Howards cams. So I have plenty of time to complete the rest of the car.

My '14 Grand Cherokee Summit came with factory HID projector beam headlights (D3S bulbs). After 110k miles...they were getting dim. The bulbs can build up a residue on the inside of the glass, from all the heat in the gasses inside the bulb. Think... smoke.

I put new HID bulbs in a couple weeks ago...no noticable improvement. So I figured I'd try some LED replacements.

Now that I've done it once, and know the tricks...it only took me 45 minutes to change 2 bulbs

Results? WOW. Much brighter. Still has the hard top cutoff like it should, so it doesn't blind oncoming cars, but the visibility is SO much better now....very happy.

Painted the trunk interior yesterday, so today I am making the package tray and trunk divider to seal it off and keep it clean in there, such a PIA I dont want to do it again!

Actually, the vent line was a cake walk compared to the aftermarket fill pipe, which was a huge pain in the butt. Roll angles and bend angles in the fill pipe weren't exactly spot on
Hopefully it doesn't leak when I start putting gas in the tank.

I got the front fenders masked off and ready to gravel guard and paint the insides. I had the old tires removed from the Cragars a few weeks ago. I decided to clean them up to see what they looked like after sitting in cold storage since 2009 when the car came apart. They still looking pretty good for almost 25 years old. I also repainted the blue in the center caps. I went with the lighter blue that the 60s-70s caps had before they went with the dark blue logo just to give the wheels a more period correct look. I have a set of L60 and F60 Goodyear's going on soon
