Just to update you Keith Black Racing closed their doors in Nov of 2008, they were trying to refi...I will try to check and see what I can find out for you... last known number I had was 562 869 1518... with an email of [email protected]... ones I have had GREAT luck building are the Donvans...

The "-3" is what is called an "arrangement number". It denotes differences in timing, carburetion, and head porting. The "-3" engine was also used in police vehicles, ambulances & medium-duty truck chassis'

almost sounds like the "original " version of KW block sealer.. that or a product called Hard Blok water jacket filler used in Racing blocks wear coolant is NOT needed..

Well she keeps winning classes at the shows.. tunnel ram is locked in and tuned, now I am delving into changing the rear 11" drum brakes to disc, some very interesting and odd problems arising, but working through them, things like E brake cable(s) rear brake line "Y's , " housing" vents...
if your running the stock ignition box, change to the Hipo(orange box), a little larger spark plug wire 8.0 Taylors , Accel, Mallory, and you can get them in black, up grade your coil(40K volts or better), as stated turn your breather cap upside down, richen up your carb a little you'll have...

Like: alt direct to battery through starter relay,... and using relays for head lights, I just did the mods and they work ABSOLUTELY GREAT !!!!!
...I'd say it"s an alternator or battery problem, check for a dead cell... how old is the alternator ? using an under drive pulley?
If I remember correctly you should be reading @ Battery 12.8v with engine and everything off, with engine running 1200rpm or so 13-13.5V capping at 14v there...
