Has anyone used Driven conventional gear oil 04530 in their 4 speed ( A833 ) tranny, or Redline MT90, had my tranny rebuilt and just wondering what is the best oil.

Just wondering who is running Caltracs on their street cars, are you using the stock leaf springs ? Are they really worth the money for a strictly street car. How do they effect the ride ? Saw a 69 Charger with them and it's a pretty neat setup. Something I might think about.
Going to replace my shifter with a new Hurst Comp plus shifter and would really like to put a Pistol grip in. Which pistol grip will work in a 68 Coronet RT without a console. Has anyone installed a pistol grip into their 68 or 69 B Body non console car if so which one did you buy.

This question has probably been asked a million times, when power timing a 440 to 36 degrees at 2500 rpm when all done do you run the car with the vacuum line hooked up or do you block it off at the carb. I test drove the car both ways and there was definitely a difference with the vacuum line...
Has anyone installed the flame thrower 3 conversion kit into a Big Block electronic distributor, if you have what's the trick to get the vacuum pod to hook up to the new plate. It seems like the hole is too far to the outside edge and I cannot get it to assemble properly.
