What a FANTASTIC build! Loving your attention to high detail and pure cleanliness!

Got my front folding bench seat springs back from powder coating, they look like brand new.

I finally got the Chevron shaped molding for the front from being bright dipped, they misplaced it a year ago and finally found it and finished it, I was worried it was gone for ever. Installed it with new clips from Joe S. And found a new original left parking light lens and installed it. Dropped my heads off at the machine shop to go through. Need a Cross Ram Manifold from A&A with 440 ports. Anybody selling one for a good price? I might be interested. Thanks

That sure is one nice highly detailed 64 going together, a fine job. Takes me back to when I did mine.. Actually it’s been about 6 years since I did mine. It started out to be a driver with an occasional pass down the track. Well that plan changed and now it only sees a quarter mile at a time. Maybe you’ll be following suit with that beautiful Savoy. :) Some pics for inspiration, hope that’s ok.

Today I ran the felt in the wind wing channel, glued in and wedge a molding in it slightly thicker then the glass and let it sit over night to dry then cut excess off(Thanks to Joe S. advise) worked great nice and clean and solid. Then installed both the wind wings. Believe it or not those are the original wind wings, glass and seals just cleaned them up, they look brand new. Lol!

I used a wood strip that fit into the channel when glueing felt. I also found many original pieces that were in excellent shape when cleaned up. Gotta love it when you can re-use parts and not have to search for replacements. Keep up the OCD :)

I will drive it sometimes and my down the track a few times but I think she is going to be a trailer Queen Lol! To much money in it to hurt it!

Ok it's been a while but I'm ready to post more progress on the Savoy, Got the outside door handle back from chrome plating, had my original ones redone rather then getting repro ones, the black plastic backings are the originals as well just cleaned up. Also had the tail light housings chromed the originals rather then buying repro ones. Original lens too.

Installed the front and rear windows with new seals. The rear glass is the original one but the front was cracked so I got one from Joe Suchy at the nationals about 4 years ago, has the green tint on top and the Chrysler logo. Funny the gasket goes on the car first then the glass goes into the seal. Installed the dash trim and started the rear glass trim. Will finish the trim tomorrow and post the pictures. Thanks to everyone fallowing me build. I appreciate all the praises and likes! Thanks again

Nice work! Would you disclose who did the chrome. I've heard and seen outfits ruin the pot metal parts. Were they pitted some before?

where did you get the bright dipping done? I’m about to strip the old anodizing off mine and am debating polishing versus the bright dip route

As far as the pot metal parts you are right. Only four of the original parts on the Savoy were pot metal, the door handles and the tail light housings, The door Handles came out perfect because the metal was not pitted. the Tail light housings chrome was just scratched and bubbling up in places, the chrome place is local here in Burbank Ca. The Handles cost 250.00. The tail light housings he said would cost 500.00 each to strip fill and chrome. I wanted to use the original ones but I told the chrome guy I could get repos for have that price new. we ended up just cleaning the tail light housing and chroming over the old chrome so some bubble marks still show through. The are not perfect but they look a lot better then before and good enough to put on the car. just did not want to spent 900.00 for a repo set. The place that did my Bright dip (aluminum parts on the grill) I had a place called ARTISTIC SILVER PLATING INC. 2344 Orange Avenue,Signal Hill CA.90755 Talk to Sally. The chrome as well but I did not use them for that just the Bright Dip. I think they would be a better chrome place for the pot metal. Foose Design uses these people for his chroming and bright dip. They are just slow at getting the stuff out but that could have been because of covid.
