I don't know about " RR optioned satellites" but RM Road runners could have either axle. Positively.
I’m pretty sure in 73-74 you could only get an 8.75, that’s why the GTX’s were not available with a 4spd. I would like to be proven wrong so please do so if you can. My extremely well optioned 73 GTX has a 8.75

I don't have the factory literature on the phased in 74 9.25 but hopefully @Vaanth can chime in.
 
Looks like the type of backyard body work I do.. Taught myself with old '70s magazine articles

It's interesting to see the proper re-do process, because I fully expect to have to do the same thing 10 years down the road to my Charger when I have the means. Hopefully AMD will make sheet metal by that point.
Patches cut up from old hoods, a flux core welder, and gallons of half decent filler :popcorn2:
