I don't know about " RR optioned satellites" but RM Road runners could have either axle. Positively.

I’m pretty sure in 73-74 you could only get an 8.75, that’s why the GTX’s were not available with a 4spd. I would like to be proven wrong so please do so if you can. My extremely well optioned 73 GTX has a 8.75

It's interesting to see the proper re-do process, because I fully expect to have to do the same thing 10 years down the road to my Charger when I have the means. Hopefully AMD will make sheet metal by that point.

The "new" 9-1/4" rear axle was released in 1974 and available on all C-body and D-body cars, and B-body station wagons. The axle was standard equipment on the following in 1974:

• C-body and D-body with 440.
• C-body station wagons.
• B-body station wagons except 318 with automatic transmission.

Note that the B-body station wagon rear axle is actually a C-body axle. The rear track and perch width on the B-body station wagon is wider than the B-body car due to this.

The 9-1/4" rear axle completely replaced the 8-3/4" axle in all 1975 car and light truck applications.

Axle code(s) did not appear on the tag in 1974. The assembly number (production, but not necessarily service number) and ratio can be gathered from the broadcast sheet.

Yes stripes. Still deciding on color. They are going to be painted. We are thinking either a darker green or black. They will not be ghost stripes but will stand out when you get up on the car. But that could change. Still deciding on the stripes. The interior metal will be the Kandy Pearl body color. I think it will look good with the existing interior seat covers and door cards.

Thinking about your stripe colors, with the Torque thrust ,are you going to keep? If so maybe argent (light or dark) may look good, especially with your silver inserts in the interior.

Yes for now. Not hip on silver. Still trying to decide on stripe colors. The painter is not thoroughly sold on dark Spanish gold for the stripes. Gotta keep the painter enthusiastic about the work so I let him weigh in. He originally wanted to do the body in Lambo Lime Green and was enthusiastic about that color. Pushed hard for it. When I finally told him I didn’t want it and let’s pick something else, he was like a deflated party ballon. He actually picked the Kandy green and came up with the idea of Hemi orange on the bottom. So now he’s enthusiastic again. I bounced the idea of Hemi orange stripes to match the bottom and he perked up. Maybe we will go that direction. Green body and orange bottom with black powder coated suspension pieces seems like a done deal and locked in.

That’s funny. I showed him that exact same ad today and suggested red. He wasn’t enthusiastic about the red, but then did mention maybe dark orange.

Has anyone ever seen a green w/red stripe car?? That's a bold choice for sure and I bet it looks pretty cool. My 73 is B5 w/red and the only other 71-74 B- body I've seen that scheme was a Charger, can't remember for sure but I believe a 72.

I got the RCDs for the rear and kept KYB excels for up front. The RCDs will work for the front but you need to modify the LCAs to make them fit. Being as there are no replacement LCAs for 73/74 and used ones are hard to come by, I don’t want to take the chance of messing them up. The KYB excels are good shocks I have no issues using them.

Really? Suppodselly there is specific 73 and laters shocks to fronts!!!!! And still being specific doesn’t work?

I couldn’t find aything other than KYBs for the front. Firm Feel was the only place I found offering Bilsteins and when I talked to them they told me the LCAs would need modified so I only got the rear.
