welcome to FBBO
Also you may want to go to the
Welcome Wagon forum here
& do an intro, add photos & the background etc.
many of the 99 (or 999) coded cars were sort of rare
limited #s of them
BUT;
it's just a paint code that isn't the normal offering, usually
in that brand/car/body style etc.
some seem to think
a single optioned code like that
is really rare or more valuable (to what extent ?)
some don't/won't
Ralley Green is a cool color,
it was offered on the 69-1/2 A12's IIRC
you've had it this long (so you're 46-ish now) say you have all the parts still
I assume it's been torn apart (?) over the years
who cares what others think (that's not a question)
build it how you want to
it's your car, what's its value to you (?) that's what really matters
unless you're doing it for resale
people get concerned about value too much
it's worth a tad bit more than that $1,200 you paid for it
any 69 RR has some decent value,
quality or originality, workmanship matters
a 383 4 speed,
isn't like a 426 Hemi or an A12 440-6
they're only original once
as soon as you start changing stuff, aftermarket re-poped parts
body panels interior trim etc. etc. etc.
even full restorations, even NOS parts, it's not original anymore, anyway
I like/prefer 'day 2' cars now myself
(resto-mods hotrods racecars customs done 'to a good taste')
I build to suit 'my taste & style',
I used to be an all OE/#s guy, that's no fun for me anymore
to each their own
