Is this box adapted from some other OEM application?
Steve, I'll find you next month so you can check it out yourself.Interested in the looseness and play off center.
And the overall precision of it.
You made a lot of other cool upgrades too, I bet it feels like a totally different car.
Took me about 6 hours to this job in my 67 Charger. I had to remove the battery to pull the box out. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.$680 for labor?
Why would you pay that instead of doing it yourself?

You're not making any sense.I have the same problem installed new lares gear box pitman arm dont fit all the way on steering coupler to short dogs stick a little has tight spots when turning. at wits end any ideas
I put in a 11033, did you use the 11043 or the 33? The coupler for me was fine, I did notice it wouldn’t go up as far on the pitman arm, but I was able to torque it up and everything is tight.I have the same problem installed new lares gear box pitman arm dont fit all the way on steering coupler to short dogs stick a little has tight spots when turning. at wits end any ideas
Did you use your original pump? I installed a Borgeson pump which has a pressure of 1350 psi and I think it's too much for the Lares 11033 I put in.Bought from Classic, but you can get direct from Lares. 2.5 turns. No need to change steering column or pitman. Transformed the car, tho' the steering feels dead, and the new PS pump needs fast idle to cope at idle. I have only driven a few miles, but so far, I can recommend;

Shop charged me 4.0h to replace. $170 /hour Has different outlet to reservoir, so they needed a 90 deg adapter. Maybe Classic sells one...?
