We probably walked be each other a few times then. The friend of mine who was a bidder, bid on a car but lost. He also said that Ford and Chevy were giving away free shirts. I said take em and burn em, and that I don't need anymore shirts (which I don't), but if Dodge was giving away shirts I would of got one.

Sorry I have not posted the rest of my photos from Barrett lately. Haven't really had time, been pretty busy. THESE ARE NOT IN ORDER. First up, the Rare & Unusual

I worked the BJ auction in Scottsdale last year working at the Chevrolet driving experience; I walked the auction as often as possible (usually before it began in the morning and then after 5 in the evening). Saw a alot of lipstick on a lot of pigs... it was/is a flipper's heaven wherein there is a large number of people buying and selling cars as a career; buy from BJ, sell at Mecum and repeat. What I took away from that experience was that I would never go to one of those auctions looking to buy my dream car nor would I ever sell a car that I cared about. IMO people go for the same reasons they go to Vegas or any other "experience" type event, it is not about the cars, it is about the show. Talked to one guy who dropped $250K on a restomod 69 Camero, saw a lot of cobbled Mopars trying to be sold for big money (didn't happen). One guy I spoke with had a 70 PCP Challenger RT, white top, 440 4BBL, AC, PS, PB, etc. He told me he had spent close to $150K in it, it sold for $50K.....
