Guten Tag Mopars,
I am Caspar from Cologne (Germany) and this is my new import. It is a 66 Coronet from California.
Before she gets of the trailer she will need some changes for the obligatory vehicle inspection in Germany.
Thank you for some of the detailed technical posts it just solved some of my problems.
Viele Grüße aus Köln (best regards from Cologne)
Caspar

Moin and welcome,
I guess you should be drunk this time, it is carnival in your area, isn`t it? :icon_winkle:
But nice car, anyway. Wish you luck with the inspection and registration thing, I did this two years ago with my import and it really sucks. But it is worth it!!

Hello Caspar, welcome to the forum. Thanks for showing off your car. What sort of changes will you have to do for the inspection?

Welcome to FBBO Caspar. Beautiful Coronet. I would love to take it for a run on the Autobahn.

Thank you for the welcome.
To get a German license I have to change the headlights and install hazard flasher. Sealed beams have no permission over here.
All ball joints of the front end and everything concerning the breaks and steering has to be next to brand new. The exhaust system should be moderate. These are the changes to get the car on the street.
Our tax system charges for a combination of cubic capacity and emissions. Not the best start for Mopars around here. But we have the chance to get a tax reduced license if the car is (or just looks) as stock as possible. So all the Edelbrock engine chrome has to go (at least for the inspection).
So if you pass the technical and the stock inspection you can at least afford the car standing out on the street. Driving around with our gas prices is another thing.
Caspar

welcome to FBBO, cool Coronet
