when it fires right off all you hear are dry lifters and clattering. when I crank it around first before it lights off the top end has oil to work with before getting to 1000 rpms. I don't want it hitting 1000 rpms dry up top. my oil pressure gauge is showing oil pressure before it fires. makes perfect sense to me.Funny thing is you want to do what is best and you are cranking it, which is the worst.
If you are worried about lack of oil then prime it with a drill. End of story.
Every time you start the engine it has zero oil pressure.
