Thanks! It's still right at 100 degrees during the day. Once it is down to the low 90's I'm going to take the wife up with me.

sounds like a cool combo
as long as it stays slower than (don't remeber 1/8th mile rules break point)
(*11.50 or 12.50, or *150mp @ 1/4 mile maybe devide by 1.57)
snell rated helmet (should wear one anyway),
*rollbar min., *full harness, *fire-jacket etc.
maybe (?) not 100% sure on 1/8th mile anymore
*7.30 (95+mph) & 8.0 in the 1/8th mile IIRC
(don't quote me on that)
are where the different safety equipment levels starts to kick in
you're probably safe
IMO 3.55:1 gears may be the only hold back from
'doing really well'
on a N/A combo in the 1/8th mile, generally need more gear
make a good ET, make up a lot in the 1st 60'-330', where time is precious
maybe play with air pressures on the rear tires, may help hook too
somewhere between 14psi & 20psi, depending on tires & sidewall etc.
very respectable 1/8 mile #s, for a street/strip car
you may get as low as 10's (or high 9's) in the 1/8th, maybe better
it is a heavy car
I wouldn't do big long smokey burnouts,
Drag Radials In my experience
just seem to ball up & don't hook if they get 'too hot',
just get them to smoke 2nd or 3rd gear
(don't stay in 1st long)
& let off the brake, then roll out to dry area
"But" don't let it dead hook after the burnout
(
caution it could be bad on the sprag/overrunning clutch,
not sure if you have a pinned or bolt in style)
anyhow,
no matter what it runs, enjoy the time
good luck & have fun,
that's what it's all about
get someone to video it for you too
I'd love to see it...
